Knowles Salmon Bequest

Bernie Knowles, a former President of RCW, left a substantial bequest to the Club to be invested. The interest earned was to be applied to "the provision of services related to the welfare of the elderly".

In early 2012 the Knowles family decided to dissolve the C W Salmon Trust (C W Salmon was a past President of the Rotary Club and father-in-law of Sam Knowles), and in accordance with the Deed, disperse one third of the capital to the Boy Scouts, amd combine the residual two thirds with the Bernie Knowles Bequest.  The cominbed fund is now known as the Knowles Salmon Beques, with its primary purpose
