$5000 for Fiji Rotahomes Project

Thursday, 12 August 2010

The Board of the Rotary Club of Wellington has allocated $5000 in funding for the Fiji Rotahome Project.

A team of Rotarians from RCW and the Rotary Club of Meppen in Germany are travelling to Fiji in the next couple of weeks to build homes for underprivileged people in the second stage of the Fiji Rotahomes project.

The funding will be used to purchase building materials.

The team of intrepid builders will spend a week building the new homes and will then have a few days R&R before returning to New Zealand.

Team organiser, William Sommerville, will report on the team's experiences and achievements when they return.
