Napier mother receives John Ilott Trust Award

Tuesday, 13 September 2011

Past President Colleen Singleton had the pleasure of presenting a John Ilott Award to Napier mother of two, Lyndal Johansson, at the New Horizons for Women Trust Awards Ceremony in Wellington recently.

Lyndal has "achieved outstanding results in her studies for a Bachelor of Recreation and Sport degree at Eastern Institute of Technology.

"She faces many challenges not least of which are financial."

Lyndal is a member of the Board of Trustees at her children's school as well as being on the Parent Teacher Association. Some of her little spare time is given over to being involved in cycling programmes in her community.

"The John Ilott Trust Award will help Lyndal achieve her dreams," says Colleen.
