Science scholars recognised by Rotary Club of Wellington

In 1999, in order to mark Victoria University's centennial, the Rotary Club of Wellington endowed nine prizes through the Victoria University Foundation for first-year science study through a capital donation of $20,000.

The prizes are offered in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics and Geography.

The prizes are awarded annually by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the Heads of the Schools or other academic units that are responsible for teaching and examining in the subjects of the prizes.

Each prize is awarded to the student who has achieved the best overall performance in the subject in question in courses aggregating at least 30 points.

The annual value of each prize is $100.00.
